Lockout/tagout:
Enterprises should clearly define the Lockout/tagout standards, identify on-site Lockout/tagout energy sources and locking
points, establish a Lockout/tagout list, and clearly specify the
locations for Lockout/tagout, responsible persons, as well as the working procedures for Lockout/tagout and unlocking.
For
operations where the protective devices of machinery, equipment and
process systems need to be removed or where personnel are exposed to
hazardous energy while performing tasks on machinery, equipment and
process systems, Lockout/tagout should be implemented.
Lockout/tagout can only be carried out by authorized personnel. Authorized
Lockout/tagout operators should be familiar with the relevant
requirements such as the Lockout/tagout process and methods.
After Lockout/tagout, it should be verified that the energy has indeed been isolated. Before Lockout/tagout and after unlocking /tagout, the personnel who may be affected should be notified.
Enterprises should organize and carry out Lockout/tagout training, and the trainees should include relevant parties of the enterprise. Relevant parties should implement Lockout/tagout during the inspection and maintenance of enterprise equipment and other
operations, and at the same time require them to communicate and
confirm well with the local management personnel of the enterprise.
When using a safety lock, a warning sign reading "Danger, Do Not Operate" should be attached to the lock. It must be Lockout/tagout.
