When electrical equipment is under maintenance or circuits are repaired, live-line operations are strictly prohibited. The power supply of the relevant distribution circuits and equipment should be cut off and isolated. It is necessary to check and confirm that the power supply has been cut off. The door of the corresponding distribution room, the distribution box or the switch for cutting off the power supply should be locked. Warning signs should be set up in prominent positions such as the lock or the door of the box, the wall, etc.
When electrical equipment malfunctions, a voltage detector should be used for inspection. Maintenance can only be carried out after confirming that the power is cut off. A power-off sign reading "Do not Close the Switch, Work in Progress" should be hung at a prominent position on the control switch. Power cut-off and supply must be handled by designated personnel.
